Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and develop a team of Linux kernel engineers, including hiring, coaching, performance management, planning, task prioritization, and status communication.
  • •Drive features across kernel subsystems (Memory Management, Scheduler, Power Management) and own the QA strategy to ensure upstream-ready, well-tested delivery.
  • •Lead pre-silicon validation of new AMD hardware, perform platform performance optimization, and resolve internal and customer debug issues.
  • •Guide engineering through code review, unit/integration test development, and detailed documentation.
  • •Collaborate with remote engineering staff across India, the U.S., and Europe to set direction, remove obstacles, and represent team priorities organization-wide.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: INR 4,082,680 - 5,832,400 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Proven record of technical and people leadership, including people management and collaboration with remote, geographically distributed teams.
  • •Solid understanding and experience with the Linux kernel and upstream development workflow, including Memory Management, Scheduler, and Power Management subsystems.
  • •Experience defining and driving quality assurance practices for kernel or systems software, including test development, CI, and performance/regression testing.
  • •Experience with pre-silicon validation and resolving internal and customer debug issues.
  • •Experience with C programming for kernel/systems development (Rust experience is a plus), plus open source development and patch submission workflow.
