Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise and monitor FJC coating activities across firing line/onsite construction stations to ensure pipeline weld coating integrity.
  • •Coordinate with engineering, QC/certifying authorities, and equipment leads to maintain production continuity and timely clearance for operations.
  • •Ensure readiness for FJC execution, including availability of procedures, PQT coupons, calibrated equipment, consumables/spares, and start-up resolution.
  • •Supervise field joint coating operations (surface preparation, consumables handling, station setup, equipment functionality/maintenance) and manage productivity and troubleshooting.
  • •Maintain accurate records and submit daily reports covering coated joints, equipment and repair/downtime details, traceability of materials, acceptance/defect statistics, and compliance with MDR HSE and QA procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred).
  • •Minimum 5–10 years of hands-on pipeline coating operations experience, preferably offshore, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • •Knowledge of anticorrosion field coating, internal coating, and in-fill coating with different coating systems.
  • •Proficiency in reading technical drawings, FJC procedures, and inspection plan documents.
  • •Experience working on pipelay vessels/lay barges with valid BOSIET, HUET, and Offshore Medical Certificate (preferred).
