Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide operations support for production of Ram Air Turbine (RAT) systems, including air-driven turbines, angle gearboxes, hydraulic pumps, and linear hydraulic actuators with locking/release mechanisms.
  • •Provide manufacturing support to suppliers and Collins’ production sites to resolve issues impacting hardware producibility, quality, and yield.
  • •Investigate electro-mechanical and hydro-mechanical hardware acceptance test failures and production issues to identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
  • •Collaborate with plant sites and suppliers to implement solutions and improve manufacturing performance.
  • •Participate in product development activities including cost estimates, standard specifications, drawing layouts, and performance or maintenance requirements.
