Key Responsibilities

  • •Collect eggs, scan barcodes with a handheld scanner, and record egg counts per flock line identification standards.
  • •Provide daily flock care: calculate pounds per pen, weigh using hopper scale, distribute feed, and weigh females with digital scales.
  • •Collect weekly lab samples using boot swabs and cleft pallet swabs, and monitor flocks for injury/illness to report to lead/manager.
  • •Maintain flock environment by flushing water lines weekly, keeping bedding and nests to welfare standards, and clearing dust from equipment.
  • •Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform additional assigned duties such as sanitizing and equipment/vehicle checks.
