Key Responsibilities

•Maintain all mill machinery including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers and chains, bearings, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
•Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance, including inspecting equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
•Troubleshoot issues and implement safe, reliable fixes to maximize production uptime.
•Identify and request relevant parts to complete repairs in a timely manner.
•Assist in maintaining a safe work environment.

Key Requirements

•Superior troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues.
•Basic electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair machinery components.
•Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems on heavy manufacturing machinery.
•Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to schedule and document maintenance activities.
•Experience working in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment (lumber manufacturing knowledge is an asset).
