Job Summary

Electrical Designer in Winnipeg will develop electrical design drawings and documentation for building systems, translate design concepts into AutoCAD and Revit MEP models, and ensure compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code while collaborating with architects and engineers to deliver coordinated, clash-free designs for buildings across Manitoba and the Prairie region.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop electrical design drawings and documentation for building systems including power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, communications, security, and site services.
•Prepare AutoCAD drawings and Revit MEP 3D models that accurately reflect design intent and support integrated project delivery.
•Apply the requirements of the Canadian Electrical Code, provincial building codes, and applicable standards under the guidance of senior engineers.
•Assist with the preparation of technical specifications, schedules, and design calculations.
•Participate in site investigations and construction reviews to verify existing conditions and support resolution of field issues.

Key Requirements

•Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related discipline
•3+ years of electrical building design experience
•Hands-on experience producing electrical drawings for institutional, commercial, healthcare, or industrial building projects
•Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP with drawing standards and model coordination
•Working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and applicable provincial building codes
