Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead backend delivery in Dubai by building the delivery team and establishing a predictable release cadence.
  • •Own backend roadmap execution and technical quality, including architecture, code review, and reliability standards.
  • •Partner day to day with product management and represent Engineering in cross-department discussions.
  • •Grow and develop direct reports through clear expectations, structured 1:1s, and honest feedback.
  • •Drive how the Dubai team adopts AI in product and in day-to-day team workflows.
Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

  • •Proficiency in Java and experience with MVC frameworks such as Spring Boot.
  • •Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful services, with strong understanding of MVC.
  • •Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
  • •Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization, plus AWS knowledge.
  • •Leadership experience managing engineers, owning delivery cadence, and developing people through structured 1:1s and feedback.
