Key Responsibilities

  • •Own vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution for a major area of Claude Science while shaping overall product direction in an undefined category.
  • •Spend meaningful time with working scientists to synthesize insights into clear priorities, requirements, and success metrics.
  • •Partner with research to improve Claude’s scientific capability by defining target behaviors, building evals, and feeding failure modes back to model development.
  • •Drive model and feature launches end to end by defining readiness criteria, coordinating across research/engineering/design/go-to-market, and running early access programs.
  • •Identify next scientific domains, data sources, tools, and integrations Claude Science should support using evidence from users, usage data, and competitive landscape.

Key Requirements

  • •Have product management experience shipping technical products with engineering and design, or equivalent founder/engineer/scientist experience driving product direction.
  • •Have a scientific or deeply technical background to reason with domain experts and diagnose model shortcomings on scientific tasks.
  • •Have a strong grasp of AI/LLM concepts, and be comfortable going deep on model behavior, prompting, and evaluation methodology.
