Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop mine plans and mine designs to meet client needs and required regulations.
  • •Assess mining fleets and produce cost and schedule estimates for projects and studies.
  • •Support timely, budget-compliant production outcomes while exceeding engineering quality standards.
  • •Maintain communication channels with internal Wood teams to ensure smooth workflows and high-standard deliverables.
  • •Collect firsthand operational information, meet with clients, monitor performance, and generate progress reports, presentations, meeting minutes, and memorandums.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering (Bachiller/Titulado en Ingeniería de Minas).
  • •4-8 years of experience in mine planning.
  • •Solid knowledge of open-pit and underground mining with safe mining practices.
  • •Experience with mining software such as Vulcan, MineSight, Deswik, Haulsim, AutoCAD or similar tools.
  • •Bilingual Spanish/English; programming skills in Python and VBA (desired/required as stated).
