Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and define project concepts, quality standards, budget parameters, schedule expectations, and scope aligned with stakeholder requirements.
  • •Prepare scope and construction review sign-off documents, secure stakeholder approvals, and manage design progress through preliminary to detailed phases.
  • •Coordinate multidisciplinary design reviews to confirm technical compliance, constructability, maintainability, budget alignment, and schedule performance.
  • •Lead alternative analyses, engineering studies, and lifecycle cost assessments; oversee construction contract documents and engineering support during construction.
  • •Manage contract changes and technical compliance reviews, coordinate close-out documentation and as-built handover, and prepare project administration documents and justification reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •University degree in engineering or a related discipline.
  • •Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in good standing with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
  • •Minimum 7 years of direct experience delivering engineering and construction projects in a transit operating environment.
  • •Demonstrated experience leading major multidisciplinary capital programs and heavy construction projects.
  • •Strong understanding of the Construction Act, contract delivery methodologies, inspection practices, and engineering principles.
