Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of legal experience with a strong foundation in IP law, including trademark and copyright; patent experience is a plus.
  • •Fluency in open source licensing, including permissive and copyleft licenses (e.g., MIT, Apache 2.0, BSD, GPL, LGPL, MPL) and non-standard licenses (e.g., dual license).
  • •Experience advising on product launches and product terms/terms of service, privacy, licensing, and IP implications of new products/features (preferred).
  • •Experience working across both proactively building IP protections and reactively enforcing licensing terms.
  • •Comfort partnering with product and engineering teams early in development to identify and address legal considerations before launch.
