Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist in managing, growing, and developing the Civil Engineering Transportation team; partner with local business and senior management and meet KPIs.
  • •Lead delivery of roadway projects and project teams for Caltrans and Northern California local agencies, serving as project/program lead as appropriate.
  • •Oversee project financial performance, adherence to project management and quality control plans, and adequacy of risk management plans.
  • •Provide leadership and oversight to ensure quality deliverables, including PS&E documents, engineering reports, and project memorandums.
  • •Support transportation business development: client engagement, pursuits, contract procurement support, and participation in industry events to develop alliances and project partners.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or closely related discipline.
  • •Engineer license required (California preferred).
  • •12+ years of relevant post-education experience in civil engineering and infrastructure design, with 10+ years in Caltrans-related projects.
  • •Advanced proficiency with Caltrans Design Development process and highway design/construction practices.
  • •Experience leading projects (project/deputy project manager, construction management, or task lead) and providing QA/QC-guided leadership to mid- to senior-level teams.
