Job Summary

Lead the Manual Welding Department’s work to meet customer demands in an industrial manufacturing environment. Schedule and coordinate jobs with the Production Supervisor, ensure welders follow safety and quality policies, and track daily work order progress. Coordinate materials and shift handoffs, report safety hazards and equipment issues, and complete end-of-shift production reports to support throughput, quality standards, and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

•Schedule and coordinate welding jobs while communicating with the Production Supervisor.
•Ensure welders follow Inwesco safety and quality policies and maintain safety and cleanliness in work areas.
•Track daily work order progress and input required data into the program.
•Coordinate with material handling to ensure components are available and accounted for.
•Lead shift huddles/meetings, report safety hazards or equipment malfunctions, enforce safety rules, and complete end-of-shift production reports.

Key Requirements

•Must have experience in steel fabrication (2-3 years preferred).
•High school diploma or equivalent.

•Strong verbal and written communication plus organizational and time-management skills (ability to lift up to 40 lbs.).
