Job Summary

Lead the engineering team behind Jurist, an AI-native contract review product. Set the technical vision and roadmap across the full stack, drive architecture for redlining and AI-assisted workflows, and own end-to-end quality with evals, benchmarking, and instrumentation. Partner with Product, Design, Legal, Services, and go-to-market to translate user needs into scalable capabilities while managing, coaching, and scaling engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Set the technical vision and roadmap for Jurist across the full stack from review UI to backend AI outputs.
•Lead architecture and execution for core Jurist experiences: first-pass redlining, reasoning-backed suggestions, deviation summaries, obligation detection, and playbook workflows.
•Own end-to-end quality for Jurist, including evals, benchmarking, error analysis, regression prevention, and instrumentation to improve accuracy and trust.
•Drive backend and platform decisions for document understanding, AI orchestration, review state management, permissions, and enterprise-scale performance.
•Manage and grow a team of engineers across frontend and backend while establishing strong engineering practices for reviews, planning, experimentation, rollout safety, and operations.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 245,000 - 295,000 annually

Key Requirements

•5+ years architecting, building, and operating complex software systems in production.
•2+ years technical leadership or engineering management experience, including mentoring and growing teams.
•Proven track record shipping zero-to-one or one-to-scale products with evolving product and technical direction.
•Experience building and owning user-facing products end-to-end (UI and backend systems).
•Hands-on fluency with modern applied AI systems (LLM orchestration, retrieval patterns, prompt/workflow design, evaluation, and production quality controls).
