Job Summary

Own a broad set of accounting responsibilities across multiple entities, including month-end and year-end close, general ledger and bank reconciliations, and fixed asset schedule maintenance. Support grant accounting activities such as allocations, billings, releases, drawdowns, and budget tracking, while assisting with grant and year-end audits. Prepare compliance reporting (including city and WA state tax filings), help with AP and purchase card reporting, and contribute to process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

•Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements, including monitoring and resolving book-to-bank differences.
•Assist with month-end and year-end close: journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and fixed asset schedule maintenance.
•Manage grant accounting activities including allocations, billings, releases, drawdowns, and budget tracking; support grant and year-end audits.
•Prepare compliance reporting for external parties, including city and WA state tax filings.
•Support accounts payable, expense allocation, and monthly purchase card reporting, and prepare reports for management financial analysis.

Salary: USD 89,500 - 134,000

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field plus 4+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent education and experience).
•Working knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
•Experience using accounting software/systems.
•Ability to communicate professionally with limited supervision, both written and oral.
•Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently.
