Key Responsibilities

  • •Direct sterile compounding shift activities in compliance with USP 797 and USP 800.
  • •Maintain and enforce aseptic technique and cleanroom standards, safety practices, and required PPE.
  • •Train and provide technical guidance to personnel performing aseptic manipulations, presterilization, inspection, labeling/packaging, and materials/equipment handling.
  • •Perform and accurately document compounding procedures and quality assurance/quality control checks for compounded sterile preparations.
  • •Oversee cleanroom workflow, daily logs, and environmental monitoring procedures in conjunction with quality, and coordinate with PIC/manager on compliance and regulatory matters.

Key Requirements

  • •2+ years of Pharmacist experience.
  • •Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • •Active pharmacist license in the state of Ohio.
  • •Experience with sterile compounding, preferably from non-sterile starting components.
  • •Proficiency in USP 797 and USP 800 requirements and knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
