Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical authority for offshore substation structural engineering including topsides and jacket/monopile structures.
  • •Coordinate a multi-discipline team of engineers (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, cables, technical safety, etc.) on design projects.
  • •Oversee topside layout design to optimise equipment and room layouts for constructability, operability, safety and weight.
  • •Support Owner’s Engineer contracts with design reviews and key documentation (Basis of Design, Technical Specifications, Employer’s Requirements) and assist procurement and risk management.
  • •Contribute to growing the offshore substation team and develop new delivery processes and procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •MEng in structural or civil engineering.
  • •Chartered Engineer or demonstrable progress toward chartership.
  • •Significant experience in offshore substation topside and jacket/monopile support structures.
  • •Track record delivering offshore substation projects across all phases (concept to installation).
  • •Experience in developing key offshore substation technical documentation and supporting asset procurement.
