Job Summary

Lead risk management for Capital One’s Card Risk organization, shaping risk mitigation strategies for Channels and Shared Services. Partner with business stakeholders and executives to identify unmitigated risks, strengthen the control environment, and transform manual monitoring into automated, full-file real-time solutions. Stay current on regulatory changes and drive process/control overhauls, ad-hoc projects, and end-to-end execution of PLAs and RCSAs using advanced data analytics.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with business teams and stakeholders to develop products, processes, marketing, and supporting technologies while implementing risk management practices.
•Lead risk initiatives and process/control overhauls, including transforming manual detective frameworks into automated, full-file, real-time monitoring solutions.
•Stay abreast of regulatory changes and lead mitigation efforts across impacted business areas.
•Drive end-to-end execution of Process Level Assessments (PLAs) and Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), providing independent challenge to keep control environments robust.
•Use advanced data analytics to deep-dive complex risk scenarios, connect root causes to broader business/technological impacts, and support continuous improvement in risk management.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 138,100 - 157,700 annually

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
•At least 3 years of payments operations experience or risk management experience.
•At least 3 years of experience in stakeholder relationship management.
•Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
•5+ years of Project Management experience leading cross-functional projects or programs in Risk, or 5+ years of Financial Services risk management experience.
