Key Responsibilities

  • •Execute day-to-day administration and effective execution of plant-wide Environmental, Health, Safety, and NERC Compliance Programs across assigned generating facilities.
  • •Plan, direct, and manage EH&S policies, procedures, and programs; ensure alignment across initiatives and reporting to senior management.
  • •Serve as primary internal/external point-of-contact for environmental, safety, and health matters; coordinate communications with corporate safety and environmental personnel.
  • •Perform day-to-day compliance tasks including environmental and safety data collection, monitoring, recordkeeping, and regulatory reporting to maintain and improve compliance status.
  • •Oversee incident investigations and corrective actions for safety, environmental, and equipment failure events using root-cause tools; track trends and drive proactive performance improvements.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent technical education plus power generation/industrial experience; or High School Diploma/GED with at least 4 years’ industrial safety, environmental, and operations experience.
  • •Demonstrated broad understanding of compliance, regulatory reporting, and equipment/emissions monitoring.
  • •Working knowledge of applicable regulations including OSHA, USEPA, IEPA, and NERC.
  • •Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), databases, CEMS reporting tools, and job-related compliance software.
  • •Valid State Driver’s License and acceptable driving record to operate between plant sites.
