Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a shop environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair vehicle systems including electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Determine parts required per job and coordinate with the Shop Parts Department to obtain them.
  • •Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including shop service trucks and daily pre/post trip inspections.
  • •Document repair work and DOT forms accurately, upload required photos, and communicate with the Shop Manager/support team for approvals and repair estimate details.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination of education/certification and experience).
  • •Valid driver’s license required; must be able to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File.
  • •Valid DOT Medical Card (or ability to obtain one prior to employment or within 72 hours of hire).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •ASE T8 (PMI) certification required or obtained within 18 months; complete required training.
