Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide 24x7 operational support with shift rotation and oncall, including L2/L3 incident and problem management and vendor case management.
  • •Maintain database uptime SLA and monitor MSSQL health and capacity for a multi-site enterprise environment including VLDB, AlwaysOn, and replication.
  • •Deliver database development and deployment support for company projects and participate in disaster recovery drills.
  • •Proactively review system logs, perform trend analysis, and improve operational processes and documentation/runbooks.
  • •Collaborate with the global team or solution architect on system/architectural changes to improve automation, performance, high availability, and scalability.

Key Requirements

  • •5-10 years of experience providing operational support for SQL Server databases, including version support for SQL Server 2014/2016/2017/2019/2022.
  • •Experience implementing and troubleshooting AlwaysOn and Database Replication/Transactional Replication in high-volume databases.
  • •Strong skills in query tuning (plan analysis, index analysis) and assisting with SQL refactoring for performance.
  • •Experience with extended events, SQL Audit, and CDC for monitoring and change capture.
  • •Knowledge of ITIL framework; PowerShell knowledge and Azure cloud knowledge are preferred advantages.
