Job Summary

Lead security engineer within Mastercard’s Business Security Enablement guild, advising product and operations teams on secure design and implementation of web-based applications and services. You’ll lead security reviews, develop enhancements to standards, and drive complex, global security initiatives across multiple geographies, ensuring compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Advocate on behalf of the BSEG Guild, providing directions to program security engineers and market facing programs on current security review processes and procedures ensuring established security policies and standards are observed on projects.
•Document enhancements to security standards and procedures and prepare/present business and technical presentations.
•Apply knowledge of security principles to business requests and take a lead security position in large, cross-functional initiatives.
•Provide and recommend optimal solutions to meet security and regulatory requirements in the design of new or enhanced systems.
•Lead security projects and initiatives across geographies to ensure secure design and implementation of applications and services.

Key Requirements

•7-10 years of experience in information security disciplines
•CISSP or industry-recognized security certification desired
•Advanced knowledge of security protocols and standards, and secure designs for web-based applications
•Knowledge of cryptography, encryption (symmetric/asymmetric), and security tooling (DMZ, privileged identity management, auditing, logging, IDS/IPS)
•Experience with automation and process improvement; programming languages and scripting; Linux system administration
