Job Summary

Own the board-level mechanical design for AMD’s AI and HPC platforms, defining and integrating mechanical features for complex high-performance boards. Review board/system designs, mechanical specifications, 2D drawings, and cable design; develop PCB mechanical definitions and ensure alignment with system integration. Partner with thermal, electrical, electrical design, manufacturing, assembly, and reliability teams to deliver manufacturable, robust solutions and support prototype/production bring-up and validation.

Key Responsibilities

•Review board-level and system-level designs to identify potential issues and recommend resolutions, including case studies and issue recommendations.
•Review mechanical part specifications (SPEC) and 2D drawings, and work with system engineers on cable design.
•Own mechanical definitions for complex PCB designs, including board outline, mounting scheme, connector/component placement constraints, and keep-out requirements.
•Collaborate with thermal, electrical, and mechanical system integration teams to support cooling solutions and balance mechanical constraints with routing/packaging needs.
•Partner with fabrication, assembly, and reliability teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and support prototype/production bring-up and validation by diagnosing mechanical integration or reliability issues.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: TWD 1,895,530 - 2,707,900 annually

Key Requirements

•At least 7–12 years of comparable experience doing server design.
•Experience with CAD tools (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks, or similar) for mechanical design and layout.
•Ability to work effectively across disciplines, including electrical, thermal, manufacturing, and reliability teams.
•Experience performing finite element (FE) simulations and related testing for design verification.
•Strong analytical/problem-solving skills with pronounced attention to details, with the ability to independently drive tasks to completion.
