Lead materials engineering for Subsea Production Systems projects, owning materials engineering deliverables at product level globally. Drive materials engineering efforts for projects and tenders, perform contract reviews, and ensure requirements and consequences are understood across teams. Manage requirement and risk documentation, oversee client communications, and guide materials/manufacturing activities including supplier documentation. Provide technical oversight across material selection, corrosion control, coatings/insulation, and fabrication methods.

•Lead materials engineering efforts at product level for assigned projects and tenders, ensuring efficiency and integrity.
•Perform contract reviews and highlight exceptions and clarifications to relevant teams.
•Populate and use requirements management systems (e.g., clarification registers, change tracker, risk register) for the materials engineering discipline.
•Oversee and manage client communications and interactions, including follow-up of materials manufacturing and welding activities with supplier document review.
•Maintain technical overview of metallic and non-metallic material selection, corrosion/corrosion control, chemical/material compatibility, coatings and insulation, and manufacturing methods.

Key Requirements

•Hold a BSc or MSc in Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Corrosion or Welding with significant materials engineering experience, ideally in offshore/subsea oil and gas.
•Experience in material selection for specific designs.
•Understand corrosion mechanisms and corrosion prevention.
•Understand manufacturing and fabrication processes such as forming, forging, heat treatment and welding.
•Be familiar with relevant industry standards including NORSOK, ISO, ASME, API, ASTM, and DNV (as well as subsea product design/fabrication requirements).
