Job Summary

Lead transportation operations for BlueLinx by managing up to 30 DOT-regulated CDL drivers and supporting transportation staff and third-party carriers. Ensure deliveries are routed optimally, tracked for on-time performance, and compliant with DOT/Safety requirements. Oversee preventive maintenance, fueling station EPA compliance, electronic logs and camera systems, and DQ file maintenance. Drive continuous improvement across service, quality, productivity, and expense control within the transportation program.

Key Responsibilities

•Understand the organization’s vision and set/accomplish transportation performance goals aligned to business unit objectives
•Ensure compliance with DOT and governmental regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, and customer standards
•Manage up to 30 drivers, third-party carriers, and routing functions; hire licensed CDL drivers and oversee safety and training
•Monitor tracking and on-time deliveries, customer service support, and service level standards; resolve issues via safety investigations
•Oversee on-site fueling station EPA compliance, on-board camera/electronic logs, DQ file maintenance, and fleet maintenance processes
