Cross-border regulatory compliance lead responsible for interpreting and implementing cross-border regulatory requirements for payments and fintech products, partnering with Product, Legal, Risk, Operations, and Treasury to embed compliance-by-design and support business growth within regulatory boundaries.

Key Responsibilities

•Interpret and implement cross-border regulatory frameworks including FEMA, RBI Master Directions, Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS), export/import guidelines, and foreign exchange guidelines.
•Provide regulatory advisory on cross-border payment flows (inbound/outbound remittances, merchant cross-border collections, card-based international transactions, FX settlement models).
•Track regulatory developments across India and foreign jurisdictions and conduct impact assessments for RBI circulars and FEMA notifications.
•Prioritize regulatory changes based on risk, business impact, and timelines; drive timely implementation across systems and processes.
•Engage with Product and Business teams during ideation and launch of cross-border products to ensure regulatory alignment.

Key Requirements

•5–6 years of regulatory compliance experience in payments, fintech, banking, or financial services.
•Strong working knowledge of FEMA and RBI Master Directions, cross-border payment regulations, FX and remittance frameworks, and LRS/export-import regulations.
•Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Product, Legal, Operations, Risk, and Treasury.
•Hands-on experience in regulatory interpretation, advisory, and implementation.
•Exposure to regulatory audits, inspections, or supervisory interactions is desirable.
