Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical/electrical components including brakes/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, transmissions, and other drivetrain systems.
  • •Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment using test instruments; road test vehicles to confirm repairs.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company service truck, including reconciliation and procurement from approved vendors.
  • •Document repair orders, DOT forms, and work findings (including photos) using a company-issued iOS device and proprietary application, while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or alternative combination such as degree/certification beyond HS, or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Obtain/supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Must be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment (or submit an eligible DOT medical card).
  • •Hold a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain/maintain their Driver Qualification File.
