Senior Director, Applied AI to design and ship agentic AI workflows that power Redesign’s decisions (founders, concepts, hires, investors, partners) by turning high-judgment workflows into scalable, self-learning systems and embedding with investment, talent and development teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Redefine healthcare investing as a technical discipline by designing and shipping AI systems to unlock healthtech venture knowledge and embedding with investment, talent, and global development teams.
•Push the frontier of applied AI by building durable, long-horizon agents with context engineering and self-learning loops, and sharing learnings with portfolio and research communities.
•Raise the technical bar across the company by teaching AI capabilities, contributing reusable patterns to core systems, and guiding portfolio companies in AI-native development.
•Create global patient impact by sourcing, assessing, inspiring, and supporting exceptional founders to build transformative health technology companies serving millions.
•Collaborate with investors, founders, and portfolio teams and manage engineers as needed to scale AI-enabled workflows

Key Requirements

•10+ years in a senior technical role at a major venture-backed startup, frontier AI lab, or investment firm; bonus for founding a company or VC time
•expert in Python and/or TypeScript with experience in modern agent frameworks (Lang* / Deep Agents, Anthropic Agent SDK, or similar) and production systems
•built or materially modified the harness around an agent (custom tools/agentic CLIs, MCP servers, durable/sandboxed execution, observability, self-learning loops)
•reinvented workflow around AI, with systems built on coding agents (e.g., Claude Code) and minimal hand-coding in over a year
•ability to turn complex business problems into AI-native solutions and partner with nontechnical leaders to understand possibilities
