Job Summary

Lead design of COTS-based radar hardware and networking infrastructure, and collaborate with hardware engineering, supply chain, field engineering, and customers to deliver safety-critical systems. Design COTS hardware infra (e.g., X86 processors), research and select servers and components, configure BIOS/OS definitions, and work in a lab with test equipment to validate solutions. Onsite in Tewksbury or Marlborough, MA with travel as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Design COTS hardware infrastructure systems (e.g. X86-based processors)
•Research and selection of servers, workstations, add-in interface cards, storage devices, and other COTS hardware
•Engineer BIOS and operating system configuration definitions
•Work in a lab environment and operating standard test equipment including oscilloscopes, processor bus analyzers, emulators, and data capture tools
•Collaborate in development with hardware engineering disciplines, supply chain, suppliers, field engineering, on-site installation and trades, and Customers to develop and deliver safety critical systems

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent STEM discipline
•Minimum five (5) years of professional experience
•Experience with emerging and legacy hardware and software, including Unix and Linux operating systems
•Experience developing and implementing computing, networking, and information technology infrastructure through a rigorous design and documentation process
•Experience taking a system design concept from the block diagram or requirements level and developing a complete COTS-based hardware design and then Design verification via integration and test plans and activities
