Key Responsibilities

  • •Execute maintenance activities under the Maintenance Supervisor, supporting safe, efficient, productive operation of the Marion manufacturing facility.
  • •Participate in the Sika SAFE Program and maintain a safe, clean work environment per housekeeping policy.
  • •Review daily work orders to repair/replace defective parts, estimate material requirements, and troubleshoot mechanical and operational problems.
  • •Perform preventive maintenance, including lubrication/cleaning of shafts, bearings, gears, and maintaining boilers and boiler fittings.
  • •Carry out multi-craft repairs and installations across electrical wiring, piping systems, buildings/grounds, and may use welding/cutting equipment and service electronic devices and systems; maintain records and collaborate with contractors/vendors.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma required.
  • •At least 4 years in a multi-craft maintenance technician position in a manufacturing environment.
  • •Experience maintaining and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, mixers, packaging equipment, and conveyor systems.
  • •Ability to perform preventive maintenance and diagnose mechanical and operations problems to take corrective action.
  • •Experience with repairs involving electrical wiring/fixtures and piping/fittings, including measurement, cutting, bending, threading, and fabrication.
