Job Summary

Support local civil engineering efforts across public and private infrastructure projects, including data collection from sites and surveys, reviewing blueprints and GIS data, and assisting with research, inspections, and design/build tasks. Help ensure site conditions meet applicable rules, standards, and permits, and produce clear documentation using electronic systems, drawings, and field notes. Work under general supervision while completing required training and following safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

•Collect, compile, and analyze data from physical work sites, surveys, blueprints, GIS, subsurface utility information, maps, and geotechnical data to support project development, design, and construction.
•Assist with research and inspections of proposed and existing site conditions, resources, buildings, infrastructure, and transportation channels to verify conformance with rules, standards, and permits.
•Provide entry-level technical assistance for routine engineering tasks related to design requirements and operating strategies focused on safety and functionality.
•Assist with verifying site characteristics and supporting engineering, design, and construction decisions.
•Generate accurate project documentation using electronic systems, drawings, and field/work site notebook/logs while complying with safety guidelines.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a closely related discipline.
•0 to 1 years of relevant post-education experience.
•Excellent research skills with an analytical mindset.
•Familiarity with process and concepts for design/build.
•Familiarity with civil construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
