Job Summary

Senior ECAD engineer responsible for PCB/CCA design from concept to manufacturing, creating schematic and layout drawings, and delivering RF-capable rigid/flex PCB solutions. Collaborates with Electrical, Mechanical, Components, Test, and Producibility teams, using Siemens Xpedition and BluePrint-PCB to drive design integrity, manufacturability, and DOD security clearance readiness.

Key Responsibilities

•PCB designs from conception to manufacturing, including creation of PCB, CCA, and schematic drawings for suppliers.
•Schematic capture, component placement, routing of traces, and Gerber/ODB++ file creation.
•Utilize Siemens Xpedition Enterprise and DownStream BluePrint-PCB for design work; design layouts include rigid, flex, and rigid-flex assemblies.
•Engage with Electrical, Mechanical, Components, Test, and Producibility Engineering to ensure design requirements are captured with cost, cycle time, and producibility in mind.
•Keep up with design changes, drawings updates, copper changes, and process improvement projects within and outside own discipline.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
•Experience with PCB/CCA manufacturing principles affecting circuitry and component layout, including RF layout techniques.
•Experience with electrical design processes including RF layout and with laying out rigid, flex, or rigid-flex boards.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with engineers at all levels.
•Proficiency with Siemens Xpedition/Layout and DownStream BluePrint-PCB (Altium not used) and ability to export Gerber/ODB++ data.
