Key Responsibilities

  • •Dive into the Classified Systems environment to map sensitive data creation, storage, movement, and access, and identify where protection is needed most.
  • •Design end-to-end data protection architecture for classified systems, partnering with stakeholders and engineers to execute it.
  • •Define data protection and handling policies, processes, and standards across logical controls (access, classification, monitoring) and physical controls (storage, transport, destruction of media).
  • •Deliver end-to-end solutions with mitigation, including automation and incident response for data spillages and data-protection events.
  • •Establish a data protection practice that sets day-to-day standards and scales across the organization, while maintaining compliance obligations across teams.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 166,000 - 220,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance (must currently hold).
  • •7+ years in security engineering and security architecture, with experience designing and hands-on building in production.
  • •Experience designing and implementing data protection/security architectures across endpoints, file shares, cloud storage, collaboration tools, and on-prem systems.
  • •Scripting/automation proficiency (Python, PowerShell, Bash) to implement controls and operationalize data protection at scale.
  • •Deep understanding of data classification, handling, and lifecycle protection (logical and physical controls) in classified or regulated environments.
