Key Responsibilities

  • •Contribute to concept studies/strategies/drawing packages, and lead planning applications, technical approval submissions, and construction issues.
  • •Support delivery of development projects across sectors and clients while managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • •Engage clients and manage stakeholders, liaising with internal and external design teams.
  • •Ensure tasks are delivered to budget, programme, technical standards, and legal requirements.
  • •Coordinate with highway, water, statutory, and local authorities to negotiate outline and detailed technical approvals and statutory agreements.

Key Requirements

  • •Knowledge of highway design, drainage strategy and design, flood risk assessment and management, utility design and planning, and awareness of the Development Industry.
  • •An appreciation of hydraulics, hydrology, geotechnics, and building structures, plus an understanding of construction design stages and procedures.
  • •Ability to produce infrastructure masterplans, site appraisals, technical reports, design calculations, and construction drawings with supervision.
  • •Knowledge of relevant design codes (e.g., Water UK Sewerage Sector Guidance, Design Manual for Roads & Bridges, Manual for Streets, Local Authority Design Guidance) and preparation of drawings for contract documentation and technical approvals.
  • •Ability to use relevant software including Info Drainage, Micro Drainage, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and/or PDS, and communicate in writing and verbally with stakeholders and authorities.
