Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead multidisciplinary design for mine waste containment and heap leach facilities, including facility layout, geotechnical/hydrologic analyses, and construction-ready drawings and specifications.
  • •Manage and execute mine waste geotechnical projects, including field investigations, laboratory testing programs, and data interpretation.
  • •Scope, direct, and review complex geotechnical analyses (stability, seepage, thermal modeling, deposition modeling, and runout analyses).
  • •Independently manage client-approved scopes of work and deliver high-quality reports within scope, time, and budget with senior review/oversight.
  • •Lead multi-disciplinary teams, support proposals/design packages, and manage the work of junior engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering (or closely related discipline).
  • •More than 10 years of post-education experience in mine waste engineering and geotechnical design.
  • •Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • •Demonstrated experience with tailings and/or heap leach facility design and management.
  • •Advanced knowledge of soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering with strong technical writing and client liaison skills.
