Key Responsibilities

  • •Resolve engineering problems using mechanical engineering principles while following established processes and governance.
  • •Contribute to mechanical solution development, including analyses and support for manufacturing, integration, and validation activities.
  • •Prepare and review detailed designs for mechanical equipment to meet architectural and project requirements.
  • •Provide evidence for fitness for purpose, regulatory compliance, safety, and quality assurance, ensuring documentation supports design adequacy.
  • •Identify and resolve technical issues across the product lifecycle, manage change embodiment activities, and provide programme status updates with recovery plans.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Aeronautical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • •Proven experience as a professional mechanical engineer.
  • •Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey technical information effectively to project personnel.
  • •Work collaboratively within a project team environment with a proactive, self-motivated approach.
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain a defence security clearance; applicants must be Australian citizens.
