Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform conceptual FEED, studies, and detailed design engineering, analysis, and calculations on complex tasks
  • •Lead a small or medium Mechanical Engineering team as a Lead Engineer and manage discipline execution
  • •Plan, organize, and direct all aspects of discipline execution on the project, including scope, deliverables, schedule, and manpower
  • •Ensure interfaces and deliverables are clearly identified and progress is monitored
  • •Act as project representative for the discipline in meetings with the project team, customers, and authorities
  • •Identify changes to scope, raise change notifications, and support variation orders
  • •Interface with other departments to obtain input for discipline designs and drawings and coordinate with project management
  • •Maintain coordination with other disciplines, planning, fabrication, and procurement to ensure successful delivery
  • •Attend project reviews, vendor meetings, and offshore site surveys as required
  • •Provide technical direction and review of Designers in Instrumentation & Controls Engineering

Key Requirements

  • •15-20 years of experience in oil and gas, preferably on offshore facilities
  • •Bachelor’s degree in civil / structural / mechanical engineering (Master’s preferred)
  • •Strong working knowledge of design techniques and analysis methods; very good knowledge of riser engineering process and tools
  • •Understanding of API, DNV, ISO, ASME, and other standards applicable to riser engineering
  • •Preferably Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) or member of a professional engineering society
