Job Summary

Bridge/Structural Engineer in Worcester, MA, joining the Transportation Team to perform professional bridge and structural engineering tasks, including CAD drafting, load rating reports, field inspections, and multidisciplinary design analyses. You’ll prepare estimates, reviews, and technical documents, while supporting more senior engineers and contributing to modeling and design solutions for transportation projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and draft plans and details using CAD for project design documents; prepare Bridge Load Rating Reports; support field inspection and condition assessment of bridges, sign structures, culverts and retaining walls.
•Prepare quantities and cost estimates; perform structural analysis and design calculations; review drawings to ensure compliance with design intent and specifications.
•Prepare technical studies, reports, and design document packages; generate documentation using 2D/3D drawings and electronic systems.
•Participate in applying advanced modeling techniques, concept development, and design requirements to ensure safety and functionality for end-users in transportation.
•Adhere to safety guidelines and site procedures; complete training; comply with company policies and procedures; perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
•3-5 years of relevant post-education experience in structural or civil design
•Engineer in Training Certification
•Knowledge of engineering analysis, design, and practices, including rehabilitation and new design
•Working knowledge of MassDOT, MBTA, and/or RIDOT requirements and standards
