Key Responsibilities

  • •Progress case files from receipt of insurer papers through resolution, supporting the team to meet quality and performance targets.
  • •Prepare, file, and serve court documents; diarise court orders and hearing dates.
  • •Liaise with experts and counsel on CVs, fees, and availability for conferences, JSMs, and hearings; coordinate attendance with insureds and witnesses and draft witness summons.
  • •Maintain and update case information, including CRU registration and notifications, and manage experts summaries, interim payment records, and offer history in the case management system.
  • •Arrange claimant appointments with medical experts; chase reports and draft mandates; review medical records and evidence, prepare precis, and redact documents to maintain legal privilege and/or avoid GDPR breaches.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum education standard of 5 GCSEs (grades 5+ or A-C) with an established interest in law via further education (e.g., LPC or ILEX) or legal environment experience.
  • •Experience of and understanding of the litigation process within a file handling or assistant personal injury role.
  • •Good telephone and communication skills with people at all levels inside and outside the business.
  • •Ability to organize and prioritize tasks using initiative.
  • •Ability to stay calm under pressure and maintain attention to detail when handling repetitive tasks.
