Use SolidWorks (3D modeling, GD&T, drawings) and apply DFM/DFA for scalable manufacturability, validating with FEA/CFD and mechanical/environmental testing while collaborating closely with electronics, RF, and supply chain teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and prototype drone controllers, antenna systems, and launcher enclosures, including structural architecture, ergonomics, and thermal/waterproofing constraints.
•Own full product development cycles end-to-end, translating operator needs into rugged, field-ready designs.
•Create 3D models and detailed 2D drawings with GD&T in SolidWorks to meet functional and assembly requirements.
•Apply DFM/DFA to reduce unit cost and assembly time at scale while coordinating with manufacturing suppliers.
•Run FEA and thermal simulations (CFD/steady-state) and perform mechanical stress, failure analysis, and environmental testing to validate designs.

Key Requirements

•Have an engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.
•Complete at least one full product development cycle from concept to mass production.
•Demonstrated plastic injection molding experience including DFM and quality control, plus familiarity with CNC and die-casting.
•Advanced SolidWorks proficiency, including complex surface modeling and 2D drawings with GD&T.
•Hands-on rapid prototyping experience (e.g., 3D printing, CNC) and experience integrating embedded electronics into complex enclosures.
