Job Summary

Define and lead the competence development agenda for the retail business, partnering with business leaders to identify and grow talent across back office and stores. Drive leadership development, competency frameworks, career development, and succession planning through AL Futtaim’s learning offerings and global/local programmes. Collaborate with HRBPs and stakeholders to implement talent review processes, individual development plans, training budget utilization, and learning measurement systems using internal platforms.

Key Responsibilities

•Define and lead the competence development agenda aligned to business plan objectives and talent for growth initiatives.
•Provide strategic support for identifying, developing, and positioning talent across back office and stores.
•Maximize learning and leadership programme offerings (including inter-brand and foundation programmes) to build leadership and capability.
•Implement talent review processes (including 9-box grid) and ensure succession planning with individual development plans and employee profile/talent profile updates.
•Support training operations by partnering with learning tools/systems (AFLC, HRIS, IGrow), optimizing training levy budget utilization, and improving L&D processes via reviews and learning measurement systems.

Key Requirements

•5 years’ experience in training, including 12 months in a training management role and 12 months as a Store L&D.
•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource, Psychology, or Business Management; CIPD qualification is desirable.
•Expertise in designing and implementing leadership capability review and development initiatives, competency frameworks, and career/talent development processes.
•Experience with budget planning, data analysis, and project coordination to support learning and talent programmes.
•Ability to manage stakeholders and run talent and L&D operational audits, including training measurement and process improvements.
