Job Summary

Join our Southeast Region Geospatial/Surveying Team as a SUE Tech III. You will lead field crews in subsurface utility engineering tasks, mentor junior staff, ensure data quality, coordinate with office and clients, and stay current with SUE/survey practices across Mooresville, Raleigh, and Charlotte, NC.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead SUE Field Crew in day-to-day operations, including utility locating, vacuum excavation, and data collection.
•Mentor junior staff, training on utility location and vacuum excavation.
•Ensure assigned SUE field project tasks and data collection are quality, accurate, and thorough.
•Communicate with office staff on project progress, needs, and equipment requirements; coordinate with clients as needed.
•Complete projects in the field on schedule and within budget; collaborate with office to produce accurate deliverables.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED.
•5+ years of progressive experience in the SUE industry.
•Ability to operate vacuum excavation equipment.
•Proficiency with EM and GPR locating equipment; able to read utility as-built/schematic records.
