Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as Lead Structural Engineer by reviewing designs and plans for bridge projects.
  • •Provide specialized technical input on transportation-related projects and coordinate engineering staff to manage bridge design tasks.
  • •Perform conceptual, preliminary, and detailed bridge design using structural steel, prestressed concrete, and reinforced concrete.
  • •Conduct assessment and rehabilitation design for existing bridges, including load evaluation.
  • •Prepare technical specifications and design documents, report writing and limited construction inspection support, and perform quality control on calculations/drawings while developing cost estimates and technical effort estimates.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 110,000 - 150,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering plus four years of relevant experience in transportation structures (or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education).
  • •Professional Engineer (PE) license and willingness to obtain reciprocity for the jurisdiction of project work.
  • •Experience leading structural engineering for bridge projects, including reviewing designs and plans.
  • •Ability to perform conceptual, preliminary, and detailed bridge design and rehabilitation design for existing bridges.
  • •Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microstation, OpenBridge, or similar computer software.
