Key Responsibilities

  • •Build, administer, maintain, and support enterprise PostgreSQL and Cassandra database environments.
  • •Perform installations, upgrades, patching, migrations, and configuration management; manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery.
  • •Monitor database health, availability, performance, capacity; troubleshoot incidents and performance issues.
  • •Analyze and optimize performance via query tuning, indexing, and configuration improvements; implement high-availability, replication, clustering, and failover.
  • •Develop database automation and Infrastructure as Code solutions; support CI/CD for database deployments/schema changes and establish observability practices.

Key Requirements

  • •Extensive experience managing PostgreSQL databases in large-scale production environments, including replication, clustering, backup/recovery, and high availability.
  • •Hands-on experience administering and supporting Apache Cassandra environments, including architecture, data modeling, partitioning, replication, and consistency.
  • •Strong SQL and query optimization skills, plus knowledge of backup, recovery, business continuity, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • •Experience with automation and scripting for database administration using Python, Shell, or PowerShell, and familiarity with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code/DevOps practices.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
