Job Summary

Delivery-focused Project Manager overseeing energy and utility capital projects. Leads design and build lifecycle, manages budgets, schedules and quality, coordinates a multidisciplinary consultant team, and ensures timely stakeholder engagement. Responsible for project controls, resourcing, and handover to operations, with opportunities to develop new business from existing clients.

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver capital projects with a focus on budget, schedule and quality output.
•Drive the management of project design development across the complete delivery lifecycle, including Design & Build stage.
•Manage directly, and liaise with others to ensure project timescales are met across stakeholders.
•Procure, manage and direct a diverse range of consultant expertise across Engineering Design (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Water & Wastewater Process, Structural), Environmental, Archaeological, and Quantity Surveying.
•Accountable for management of project control, including resourcing and service delivery requirements, ensuring Consultant supervision where relevant and approving all payment certificates.

Key Requirements

•Hold a relevant third level qualification preferably in Engineering or related Project management discipline.
•A minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing large or multiple infrastructure/capital projects in the utilities sector.
•Strong knowledge and experience of project management, and construction delivery best practice.
•Proven ability to successfully implement and execute programmes and driving performance. Knowledge and experience of mobilising and managing the supply chain, including design, planning and construction services.
•Experience is in a complex stakeholder environment.
