Key Responsibilities

  • •Collaborate with the founding team and software engineers to design and run experiments in retrieval-augmented AI systems.
  • •Evaluate RAG systems in production and develop benchmarks from scratch.
  • •Fine-tune embeddings or rerank models and explore information retrieval techniques (lexical and dense vector search).
  • •Maintain awareness of the latest ML research and identify applicable approaches for kapa.ai products.
  • •Communicate findings and experiment results to the team and contribute to the iterative product development process.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 100,000 - 170,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
  • •Deep understanding of machine learning, deep learning (including LLMs) and natural language processing
  • •Hands-on experience training, fine-tuning, and deploying large language models
  • •Experience with vector databases, search indices, or other data stores for search and retrieval
  • •Experience building evaluation systems for LLMs or search
