Key Responsibilities

  • •Read and interpret engineering drawings, wire lists, cable schedules, and interconnect diagrams to fabricate cable and harness assemblies.
  • •Cut, strip, and prepare power, RF/coax, signal, and data bus wire and cable to specified lengths and tolerances.
  • •Crimp, solder, and mechanically terminate connectors, lugs, splices, and back shells; install shielding, sleeving, lacing, wrapping, and strain relief per standards.
  • •Perform in-process and final electrical tests (continuity, hi-pot/dielectric withstand, insulation resistance, and RF checks as applicable) and document results.
  • •Identify nonconformances, support FAI builds, and collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Assurance to resolve build issues while maintaining traceability and a clean ESD-safe workstation.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED.
  • •Minimum 1 year of experience fabricating cable, wire harness, or electro-mechanical assemblies in aerospace/defense or similarly regulated manufacturing.
  • •Proficient in IPC/WHMA-A-620 wire harness standards (certification preferred).
  • •Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wire lists, and bills of material.
  • •Basic soldering skills and proficiency with hand/pneumatic crimp tools, wire strippers, and electrical test equipment (multimeter, hi-pot tester, continuity tester).
