Key Responsibilities

  • •Underwrite new and renewal commercial P&C business within delegated authority, focusing on accounts with higher technical complexity.
  • •Assess and price risks using Zurich’s underwriting tools and methodologies, ensuring alignment with underwriting strategy and risk appetite.
  • •Structure coverage, terms and conditions to meet customer needs while achieving profitable growth and portfolio balance.
  • •Proactively build and manage a qualified pipeline of opportunities 90–120 days before they go to market.
  • •Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned brokers and key accounts, acting as a trusted advisor and primary contact.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area.
  • •High School Diploma or equivalent and 6+ years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area.
  • •Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 1+ years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area.
  • •Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 4+ years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area.
  • •Knowledge of line(s) of business and the legal and regulatory guidelines.
