Job Summary

Design, build, and operate enterprise Azure-based cloud infrastructure platforms that enable secure, reliable, and scalable delivery across Mastercard. Serve as an architectural authority shaping long-term platform strategy, guiding highly complex platform designs, and establishing standards, guardrails, and modernization plans. Lead cross-organizational design reviews, identify and mitigate risks across reliability, security, scalability, and cost, and mentor senior engineers to elevate engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities

•Set and drive long-term technical vision and strategy for cloud infrastructure and platform engineering across multiple domains.
•Serve as the architectural authority for Azure-based infrastructure, ensuring consistency, scalability, and alignment with enterprise standards.
•Lead complex, business-critical platform designs and guide key architectural tradeoffs.
•Establish and enforce enterprise-wide patterns, standards, and guardrails for secure, resilient, and cost-efficient cloud solutions.
•Mentor and develop senior engineers and technical leaders, and facilitate cross-organizational design reviews to raise engineering quality.

Key Requirements

•Deep, enterprise-scale experience designing and operating Azure-based cloud platforms across compute, networking, storage, identity, and managed services.
•Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code and automation at scale, including governance, composability, and policy-driven engineering.
•Advanced understanding of cloud security architecture (including zero-trust, identity federation, and secure network boundaries) with regulatory considerations.
•Proven track record architecting and evolving highly resilient, globally distributed systems with strong failure-domain and recovery strategies.
•Experience defining and executing multi-team, multi-phase technical strategies, including dependency management and incremental delivery models.
