Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide electrical engineering design consultancy services for transmission and distribution projects from concept through detailed design stages
  • •Assist in designing and analysing high voltage power systems, cabling, substations, HVDC systems, and interconnectors as part of grid modernisation
  • •Communicate effectively with internal and external clients, stakeholders and subcontractors, and articulate technical issues clearly
  • •Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support the UK Great Grid Programme and other energy infrastructure projects
  • •Contribute to hybrid-working environment with opportunity for professional development and growth

Key Requirements

  • •Electrical/electronic/power engineering qualification (HNC/HND/BSc/BEng and/or MSc/MEng)
  • •Demonstrable electrical engineering design consultancy experience on transmission and distribution projects
  • •Working knowledge of BS and/or Eurocodes for relevant engineering design standards
  • •Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external clients, verbally and in writing, with confidence engaging with clients, colleagues, stakeholders and sub-contractors
  • •Ability to rationally explain, explore and discuss technical issues and capture feedback
